Illustrated with personal and historical stories, Harvey explores biblical and practical principles for determining the pastoral call. Over the past twenty-four years of ministry, Harvey has enjoyed assisting many men in discerning whether they are called into ministry. This book will guide you through that all-important process with wisdom and confidence in God’s faithfulness in your life.

A terrific addition to the genre, Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away.”—Mark Greaney, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mission Critical “True Believer, the highly anticipated new thriller from Jack Carr, is one of this year’s hottest thrillers, and a perfect fit for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Daniel Silva.” —The Real Book Spy In acclaimed author Jack Carr’s follow-up to The Terminal List, former Navy SEAL James Reece’s skill, cunning, and heroism put the US government back in his debt and set him on another path of revenge. When a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world during the holiday season, the broader markets fall into a tailspin. The attacks are being coordinated by a shadowy former Iraqi commando who has disappeared into Europe’s underground. The United States government has an asset who can turn the Iraqi against his masters: James Reece, the most-wanted domestic terrorist alive. After avenging the deaths of his family and team members, Reece emerges deep in the wilds of Mozambique, protected by the family of his estranged best friend and former SEAL Team member. When a series of events uncovers his whereabouts, the CIA recruits him, using a Presidential pardon for Reece and immunity for the friends who helped him in his mission of vengeance. Now a reluctant tool of the United States government, Reece travels the globe, targeting terrorist leaders and unraveling a geopolitical conspiracy that exposes a traitorous CIA officer and uncovers a sinister assassination plot with worldwide repercussions. A high-intensity roller-coaster ride, True Believer explodes with action and authenticity that cements Jack Carr as the new leader in political thrillers.

Book Summary:

Believers in Jesus Christ should examine their faith to know for certain they are born again. Christians who are not saved will miss the Rapture. To have full Rapture security we must first know we are saved. This book shows you how you can examine your faith and know whether you are truly saved or just a religious person. Paul warned the believers in Corinth to examine themselves because they were the most carnal church and steeped in pride: Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate. (2 Corinthians 13.5) Every pastor in the world should regularly warn the congregation that if they are living in a backslidden condition they need to examine their faith. Since few pastors ever give this warning, there was a strong need for a book to do just that. In the last century a few brave pastors warned believers that church membership is not a guarantee of salvation. This book is designed to make believers examine their faith. Far too many "Christians" coast through life never considering their faith and salvation. They are content with the idea that if they pray before meals, read the Bible once a week, go to church regularly and give some money to the church they are secure. They never consider the possibility that they are not truly born from above. The marks of a true believer are: A need to pray throughout each day (1 Thessalonians 5.17) A strong desire to read the Bible each day (Psalm 42.1-2) A strong desire to study Scripture each day (Acts 17.11) A strong desire to hide the Word in his heart (Psalm 119.11) A strong desire to meditate on Scripture each day (Joshua 1.8; Psalm 1.2) A strong desire to fellowship with the brethren frequently, not just on Sunday (Acts 2.42, 46-47; 5.42; Hebrews 3.13; 10.24-25) A strong desire to share the Gospel (Acts 2.47; 1 Peter 3.15) A strong desire to be discipled ((Proverbs 1.8; 4.1; Ephesians 4.11-13) And a strong desire to make disciples (Deuteronomy 6.5-7; Matthew 28.19-20; 2 Timothy 2.2) If you have no marks or just a few marks of a true believer you need to diligently study this book and the Bible until you have all of the marks.

Book Summary:

The evangelical church is home to many who claim to follow Christ but who show little evidence of a truly transformed life. Todd Wilson's Real Christian: Bearing the Marks of Authentic Faith biblically defines what it means to be a true Christian, calling readers to look at their own lives and diagnose where they aren’t living authentically for God. With a prophetic voice, Wilson looks at how we deceive ourselves into thinking we are really living for God through believing the right things or doing lots of spiritual activities. In contrast, real Christians are marked by five key qualities: broken-hearted joy, a humble disposition, a readiness to acknowledge sin, an ability to live balanced and avoid legalism, and a deep spiritual hunger that drives growth. All of these qualities culminate in the single defining mark of a real Christian—love. To help in distinguishing genuine faith from counterfeit spirituality, Wilson draws upon the gospels, the writings of Paul, and the insights of theologian Jonathan Edwards to help readers understand the necessary marks of an authentic, transformed life, marks that show evidence of a new heart and bear spiritual fruit through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Book Summary:

Open your Bible and prepare to learn how God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Beloved teacher Ray Stedman takes you on a journey through Gods Word that will both inspire and motivate you. The theme of this book, the believers riches in Christ, becomes clearly evident as Immeasurably More leads you through portions of the Old and New Testamants in an easily-read, easily-grasped devotional experience. God says to his people, You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart to be My own. (Lev 20:26). Christians must understand that we are the people of God today. What God said to Israel He also says to us, for in our relationship in Jesus Christ there is but one man, one body in Christ. Promises which appear in the Old Testament belong also to us who live this side of the cross.

Book Summary:

The purpose of this book is to explore the controversial understanding of the Lordship of Christ and how it pertains to a believer's daily walk in the faith. First, it will present both sides of this contested debate. Second, it will attempt to define Christ's Lordship as best revealed in Scripture. Third, it will attempt to show that the marks of a true believer will be displayed by their works, ultimately reflecting their view of Christ's dominion. Not everyone is called to vocational ministry, but all believers are called to minister in their vocations. A believer's understanding of Christ's Lordship will shape their Christian walk. The goal of this book is to present the reader with ample evidence, allowing them to make an informed decision on this crucial topic.
